McuWatchRoad to Doomsday

About McuWatch

A free, spoiler-conscious way to organize 59 preparation titles before Avengers: Doomsday — plus planning tools that tell you honestly whether your pace actually finishes in time.

The creator

McuWatch was created and curated by MagicMicahX to help fans organize their watch journey before Avengers: Doomsday.

The methodology

The list is built backwards from the story threads most likely to matter in Doomsday: multiverse mechanics, the incursion problem, the mutant side of the map, and the character arcs that were left unfinished. Titles are ordered so that setups always land before their payoffs, which is why the order is not strictly release order or in-universe timeline order. The 59 preparation titles are the current canonical Road — Avengers: Doomsday itself sits outside the list as the destination and is never counted in your progress.

The Road is McuWatch editorial curation based on public releases and story context. It is not an official Marvel Studios watch order, and priority labels describe our preparation guidance rather than whether a title exists in Marvel canon.

Why each category matters

  • CAN'T MISS: the core setup for the road to Avengers: Doomsday. If you're short on time, watch these first. CAN'T MISS is McuWatch's own editorial pick, not an official Marvel requirement.
  • Essential — Core viewing. Important plot, characters, concepts, or rules later rely on this. Strongly recommended.
  • Helpful Context — The larger story is still understandable without it, but later connections, characters, locations, or emotional beats make more sense. Recommended.
  • Bonus Context — Extra lore, connections, cameos, or background. Safe to postpone if time is limited.

Every tier is part of the current canonical 59-title Road. Tiers communicate urgency and context — not whether a title counts toward your progress.

Turning on Beginner Mode adds a concise, spoiler-safe reason each title is on the Road. It does not remove titles or change the canonical order.

Beginner watch-order guidance

  1. Follow the listed preparation order when you want the intended setup/payoff flow.
  2. Use Essential as the strongest urgency signal when your available time gets tight.
  3. Helpful Context and Bonus Context still remain on the canonical Road and still count.
  4. Use Experience Mode and Mission Control to change emphasis or pacing without silently changing what counts as Road completion.

Schedule-building FAQ

How is my pace calculated? The builder counts only the titles you have left and only the days you actually selected between your start date and your target date. Hours per week are the clearest workload signal because one movie and one full series are not equal-sized tasks; title count remains a secondary planning measure. If your chosen pace cannot finish in time, the app says so plainly instead of calling you “on schedule”.

What if I fall behind? Raise titles per week, add another watch day, start earlier, or move your target date. The builder shows the exact extra titles per week you need.

How do skipped dates affect completion? Every break date you add removes a slot from the plan, so remaining titles shift later and your estimated finish date moves. Skip too many and the status flips to “Impossible at current pace”.

Can I move a single title? Yes — reschedule an individual title from its details dialog without rebuilding the whole plan.

Local progress vs. cloud sync

Without an account, everything stays in this browser's local storage — no sign-up, no server copy. Signing in is entirely optional and only adds cross-device sync: your progress is stored in a private row only your session can read. The first time you sign in on a device that already has progress, you are asked how to combine the two — nothing is overwritten silently.
